We are a UK based socio-economic business and UK registered Dreamaid Charity on
www.dreamaid.com
In a breakthrough in business thinking we are creating a feel good market place in which buyers and sellers share a vison of a better world.
A particularly exciting part of our strategy is linking environmentally friendly forestry to artisan sales. Did you know that 40% of the world's carbon problems are due to deforestration? Did you know that if we create products from mature trees (whilst planting new ones) we capture carbon and help the environment whilst helping poorer communities to earn more from their plantations?
It is free to list products for sale but in the event a product is sold the business charges 10%. This is much smaller than dealing with traditional traders who in our experience lead to the product creator having 5-10% of the final price. We need to make charges to create a sustainable business that can help more people in a truly symbiotic relationship and to sustain international growth.
The Dremaid Charity provides internet access to poor communities to help them get their products to a wider market. Our fist examples are in Mexico and Brazil but we would love to have more projects.
Please take a look at our blog on
http://dreamaid.blogspot.com/ to see how we are progressing.
Shortly we will be the subject of a major TV company documentary as they follow us in Brazil. In advance of this show going out we would like to have a forestry project to work on. Can you help us find a group of artisans working to sell their forestry products?
We have had an enthusiastic response from companies seeking to improve their Corporate Social Responsibility image as they love our combination of Charity and Business to help people become self sustaining. Do you know of any companies that might like to help us provide internet access to forest communities?
Best regards,
